Rely on us for Nutrient Management Planning to keep you in compliance and profitable.

In this fast-paced and ever changing agriculture industry, it can be difficult to comply with all the environmental and regulatory rules that are out there. Currently there are on-going rewrites of the DNR 151 rules, NRCS 590 rule, ATCP 50 rule, increased focus on the Mississippi River Watershed and increased emphasis on the Great Lakes Watershed Initiative.

As all Wisconsin producers are expected to meet state and federal standards for nutrient management, we have established a team of qualified certified crop advisers (CCAs) and technical service providers (TSPs) to serve you with all your nutrient management planning, comprehensive nutrient management planning, WPDES Permit planning for CAFOs, assisting with other DNR permit issues, pest management planning, CSP Program assistance, tissue testing, soil sampling and other consulting needs.

Find your agronomy location below, connect with your agronomy specialist to help you move forward with all your consulting needs.

Expert View: Dicamba product training available

By Kevin Knutson, United Cooperative Agronomist

With all that we hear and read about Roundup Resistance weeds heading our way, some growers will be planting Xtend beans to use as a tool in their 2018 soybean weed control program. Roundup Resistant Waterhemp and Marestail are already major problems to the south, and are heading our way. That is, if you are not currently dealing with it already. The active ingredient, Dicamba is very effective on Roundup Resistant Waterhemp and Marestail. But its use on Xtend beans comes with some extra guidelines and training.

Dicamba products that can be legally applied near planting or over the top in Xtend soybeans are Xtendimax with Vapor Grip Technology, Engenia, and FeXapan plus Vapor Grip Technology. Xtendimax, Engenia and FeXapan have recently been updated by the EPA, and the products are now a Restricted Use Pesticide (RUP). The updated EPA label requires all applicators to complete dicamba or auxin-specific training before applying the product in 2018 and to keep and maintain specified records associated with each application.

Listed, are websites that have the dates, time and location of the specific training needed to utilize Xtendimax, Engenia, and FeXapan in 2018.
